Kelly is a physicist turned data scientist, motivated by the belief that data can be used to empower people and make good decisions. After getting PhD from Georgetown University, Kelly did a fellowship at The Data Incubator. She returned to the BlueLabs family full time in early 2018 where she was once a fellow. Kelly specializes in NLP and building learners on unstructured data. Her dissertation is on improving tumor diagnosis through MRI image recognition. At Bluelabs, her work has been focused on dynamic prediction, matching, and relation extraction. She is passionate about high-level quantitative problem solving. Outside of data work, she has a master’s degree in Simultaneous Interpreting from University of Maryland and has been to 20 countries.
